Royalburn Station, along with Jono & Jess Ettema (formerly of Raeward Fresh) are now the proud owners of ‘McKibbons of Royalburn’ (@mckibbons_of_royalburn )- your gourmet grocery supermarket in Queenstown. Named after William McKibbon, the founding farmer of Royalburn Station in the 1880’s.
This Saturday (November 9th) we are having a grand opening day for the public to sample food, Xmas treats and chance to win gourmet prizes. There will also be a super special guest in attendance (and no, it’s not Nadia 😆but she’ll be there too!).
Hope to see you there - 53 Robins Road, Queenstown (the Raeward Fresh Building)

It may sound crazy, but these days wool itself has little to no value on the market even though it is such an amazing natural and useful product. Unfortunately cheap synthetic materials like polyester have eroded the market for wool, making it impossible to compete on cost. Farmers lose money on shearing each sheep, but we need to do it to keep our animals comfortable over the warmer months. We are stoked that we get to use our wool to be made into beautiful blankets with @exquisitewooltraders who make the best throws and blankets that last generations - you can buy our lambswool blankets in our @royalburn_farmshop or online from our website www.royalburn.co.nz …they make a great Xmas pressie (just saying!) 😉
If you’re planning on having a celebration or ga If you’re planning on having a celebration or gathering in Queenstown, consider having it at the farm! We have two stunning venue areas - this one is Prohibition House…it’s the farm’s old Shearers Quarters built back in the 1920’s. When we moved to the farm it had become very run down and home to a few 🐀families, but we’re happy to say it’s been lovingly restored and makes an incredibly special space for intimate gatherings, celebrations, corporate functions, weddings, you name it. We’ve had great parties, casual bbq lunches and formal fine dining experiences here catering for as few as 6 and as many as 100 people. The great thing is we’re only 20 minutes from Queenstown airport, but you feel worlds away in this spot🙌
