We are looking for a passionate Assistant Manager with a proven track record in customer service to work with our exceptional Farmshop Manager and our high performing team.
This is a fulltime role and our ideal person will share our philosophy of Farm to Plate, be a passionate foodie and be able to assist with the smooth running of our popular and busy Farmshop.
Responsibilities include, assisting the Farmshop Manager to:
- Ensure that the produce and products in the shop are second to none, with the ultimate focus on fresh fresh fresh!
- Work with the team to keep the shop looking exceptional at all times
- Ensure that our staff can talk about food, have an interest in food and offer ideas for preparation to our discerning customers
- Have an eagle eye for detail to ensure that our high standards are maintained at all times
- Have a solutions focused approach to any issues
Further responsibilities will require a superstar approach to all administration tasks involved with running a retail store. These tasks include ordering and receiving goods, assisting with foodsafe protocols and Health and Safety requirements. You will also be a hands on team member and will be unpacking orders, stocking shelves & serving customers.
Our ideal candidate will:
- Have knowledge of retail and the food industry and ideally have experience in a similar role
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic & a great team player
- Have great communication skills with the ability to upsell
- Be passionate about providing excellent levels of customer service
- Be able to build a great rapport with our regular customers and visitors to the region with equal enthusiasm
- Have great people skills and be part of the management team that ensures that our team love coming to work each day

Shop hours are 9am – 6pm, 7 days a week so availability for weekend work will be required on a rostered basis.

This is a 2-3 day a week opportunity based on the farm above Arrowtown. As our girls lay every day of the week, there may be a requirement to cover weekends from time to time.
